While Tofu
is a strong category in both retail and restaurant channels, there
are few small, local businesses producing it right here in
Colorado. SOURCE is thrilled to carry Colorado Sun Tofu's great
line of products.
Developed by
Henry Han, Colorado Sun Tofu has been in production for less than one
year in Northglenn, Colorado.
Henry first
developed his food service packaging. This wider and longer
cake size invites chefs to adapt the product to fit an array of
different applications in their kitchens. Size options include 13.5oz
cakes and larger 3.5lb cakes. Colorado Sun Tofu is available in
Medium to Extra Firm textures.
Colorado Sun
Tofu proudly uses non-GMO soybeans. Their tofu is made by coagulating
soy milk and pressing the resulting curds. This is then cut
into soft cakes and packaged.
With
increasing demand, Henry next developed his retail product.
Colorado Sun Tofu 19oz retail packages are slightly larger than other
brands and sport a catchy label.
Tofu is high
in protein and low in calories. Given it's subtle flavor, it
can be used in savory or sweet dishes and nicely reflects the flavor
of seasonings and spices in recipes. Colorado Sun Tofu is also
gluten free.
