Outstanding, pasture-raised, grass-fed Colorado beef is now available from Estancia Beef who recently partnered with a cooperative of family owned domestic ranches.  These breeds include Herefords and Hereford Angus cross, which are smaller framed cattle. Processed here in Brush, CO there is very minimal transportation required, keeping the carbon footprint at a low.

Estancia Beef utilizes extreme traceability and transparency.  Each package of beef contains a sticker identifying the land where the cattle originated.  Estancia Beef also implements protocols developed by Dr. Temple Grandin to ensure that the cattle are never stressed or scared.

The health and environmental benefits of grass-fed ranching are exceptional.  Estancia grass-fed beef shares a more similar nutritional profile to salmon than it does to grain-finished beef.  Quality grass-fed beef is lower in fat and cholesterol, and high in healthy omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin A, vitamin E, and CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) which is best known for its anti-cancer properties.  Raised as nature intended, these cattle are not confined in feedlots, are not fed any grains, and are given no antibiotics.
