Colorado Proud Cuisine:

The Colorado Department of Agriculture has worked hard
to create branding that helps consumers identify local Colorado
items. Your restaurant or retail location can register, at no
cost, to help others find your business, to keep your information
updated, and to participate in the Buy & Sell Forum. For

Letter
from CEO & Chief Fungi
Giving
Thanks. The wild, zany, sexy and sometimes really scary costumes of
Halloween are getting put away, and we're turning our thoughts toward
Thanksgiving. The days are getting shorter. Our clocks just "fell
back." We are enjoying the transition from late summer to early
winter.
In
a time of Thanksgiving, I am so happy to think about all of the
amazing, truly wonderful food Jedi's that we are working with day in
and day out. Amazing farmers, ranchers and food producers located in
special spots all around Colorado. Not-to-miss restaurants, markets,
cafes, hotels and cafeterias whose chef's and F&B managers are
truly leading the way in building the local food community and culture.
And of course, I am uber-grateful for the amazing team I have the honor
and privilege of working with here at SOURCE. Our drivers are the face
of SOURCE on the road, come rain, shine or snow, delivering awesome
products while providing expert, friendly customer service. Our sales
team is building deep, exciting relationships with chefs and managers
all over the region - creating a veritable web-work of local food
culture. The office and warehouse crew is continually improving
systems, procuring specialty items from hundreds of suppliers for
hundreds of customers, and having a heckuva lot of fun getting-er-done
day in and day out! Our Board of Directors and Advisors is stalwart in
their support and unwavering in their expectations of excellence and
performance.
These
relationships form the bedrock of our work building sustainable food
systems together. We begin this holiday season giving thanks for each
of you reading this, for the work you are doing in your node of the web
to grow, harvest, process, source, prepare and share local foods with
your friends, families and communities.
In
gratitude,
Aaron
CEO
& Chief Fungi
Don't
forget - our sister company, RECYCOIL, is holding it's 7th annual
Holiday recycOil event at several drop off points around the region on
Saturday, November 30th from 10am until 2pm. Please visit recycOil.com
to find out the closest location to you to drop off your fryer oil
after frying your Thanksgiving turkey. Happy Thanksgiving!

What missing
menu item would make your Thanksgiving incomplete:
Thanksgiving
would not be complete without my friends and family. If not for them,
how could we share all that we have to be thankful for.
John Granat
Local Hunter Gatherer, Northern Colorado Sales
What missing
menu item would make your Thanksgiving incomplete:
Can't go wrong
with an easy, but necessary, Thanksgiving side staple of roasted
Brussels Sprouts w/shredded Parmesan, Asiago and Romano cheese. Toss
with some olive oil, sea salt and pepper, gotta have it! It reminds me
of the midwest when I was a kid.
Suzanne
Johnson
Local
Produce "Source"eress, Driver
What missing
menu item would make your Thanksgiving incomplete:
My thanksgiving
menu would be incomplete without the stuffing! To me it's the
best part of the meal. It symbolizes family and togetherness. It just
wouldn't be the same without it.
